Homeschool 101

Why home educate when schools are just down the street? Why keep them at home when everyone else's children get on that school bus each morning? Why learn with me when they could have a teacher that is more than likely more educated than me? Why Lord, why?
I remember asking Him those questions when He told me to take this amazing adventure. I remember not feeling good enough, smart enough, nor wise enough. He answered my questions with a simple statement, "Trust Me."
I must say, this journey has taught me to trust my God in ways that I've never imagined. My children and I learn together, it has been exciting. Raising them up to love and to trust the God I serve has meant more to me than any school curriculum could ever provide.
I've had the opportunity to teach them how to read-thus enhancing their relationship with God through the reading of His Word. I've had the pleasure of teaching them grammatical skills-thus enabling them to journal their walk with Him. I've taught them how to add and to subtract-thus teaching them good stewardship with the money they are entrusted with.
These years have been years that I could live over and over again. There has been no greater joy to me than homeschooling my "baby goats"!
