Oh Wonderful Cross

I love this chorus.."Oh the wonderful cross, oh the wonderful cross-bids me come and die and find that I may truly live."

The cross is the place of pain. It's the place of hurt, betrayal, backstabbing and severe difficulty. A place of death that seems to be so unglorifying. It's a place of humility that brings us lower than we've ever imagined. It's being stepped on-taken advantage of-giving and not receiving.
Yet, Christ embraced the cross.
Yet, He calls us to take up our crosses and to follow Him.
For at the cross-we die-thus finding eternal life.
