Leah Revealed

God has revealed so much truth to me through the life of Leah. Leah, the unloved one, the overlooked one. She was taken for granted and deemed unworthy and useless by her father. Her father didn't believe in her, her husband didn't esteem her, yet God took what seemed to be useless and He used it. His son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ came from Leah's seed. God delights in taking the unlovely, the "least of these" and doing great things through us. We were all Leah at some point in life. We all felt left behind, hurt, broken and defeated. We've all been unloved and neglected at some point our walk. Let's choose to praise as Leah did-she named her son Judah! You see, her entire life seemed to be a process, a work in progress; so to speak. Yet, she named her son Judah. So let's praise our Heavenly Father too, let's praise Him in the midst of the pain and know that victory will come. Victory came to Leah in the end. She was buried along with Jacob's relatives-Rachel, his beloved was not. Could it be that Jacob began to see the prize he had in Leah? Amongst Jacobs dying words were, "And there I buried Leah." So let's live on-don't quit when things become difficult, we serve an amazing God who is quite able to make things better in His time. Let's choose to praise Him in the midst of our struggle, praise Him. Genesis 29-49
