Is This Stuff For Real?

There are times when God's word doesn't seem real. Moments of pain, difficulty, shame, heartbreak or sickness can cause a Christian to walk in unbelief. How many times have you wondered why you have a cold when His word says that you were healed by His stripes? Have you ever questioned why you didn't have the money you needed for a bill when He said that He would provide ALL of your needs?
It is true that walking this walk may feel as if we are insane, yet we must continue. The faith walk is not really about us getting everything we want or what we think we need, instead it's about us loving our loving Father in the midst of the need.
Are we in this relationship to get what we want or are we in this to give Him our all? I choose to give Him my all. You see, He laid out death and life before us and He told us to choose life. We really don't have a choice when you look at it that way. These present sufferings are nothing compared to the everlasting healing and wealth we'll inherit in His eternal paradise.
We can't base our faith in Him on our circumstances, instead, we must trust Him simply because He says to trust Him. I must say, this stuff is for real. His word does not lie, He knows what we need and He gives to us accordingly. Just keep walking, though the road may be long and weary, you'll reach your destination if you would just go on with the Master.
